The empty cup collection

I've taken four demo songs and put them together on an ep, which I'm calling ,"The Empty Cup collection". The Ep has the songs, with a remix of early morning disaster done by We Have Meteorite Sickness. It is the first release that I am putting out on my new label Cheap,Cheap,Cheap,Bee Lo-Fi records. If you want a copy of, " the empty cup collection" send me a note or come out to a show, or even better book a house show and I'll bring copies with me. I'll be selling them for 5 dollars, merry Christmas!

flood of 48 up on CBC Radio3

I was able to get my song Flood of 48 up onto the CBC radio3 site, through the very generous help of Marie a producer at CBC radio3. The song is going to be included in a podcast hosted by Becky Ninkovic and Stephen O'Shea of YOU SAY PARTY!WE SAY DIE!, sometime this week. Check out their new album," XXXX " out on Paper bag records. Also go and check out the Old Mare song flood of 48 at CBCradio3. Bye fer now

NEw Songs on the myspace

Ola mi amigos
Pistols at dawn, and flood of 48 are posted on my myspace. www.myspace.com/oldmare, check it out and let me know what you think. Still stuggling with CBC radio3 website I have tried my very best and brought in some of the finest names in science to help me, ,ie" Stephen Hawking", still no luck, maybe I should hire some 12 year old to help me instead.

I have a hate relationship with technology, I try to welcome it. I spend time with it. But technology is a pretty flirt, who say,"I can help you out", but when I spend an hour and a half trying to put a song up on some page I can't help but want to throw my computer against the wall. get a hammer and smash it to bits, sweep the @#$%^&^%$% thing up and bury in the back yard.

It's fantastic to go see a band that inspires you to keep pushing, Band Of Horses are one of those bands. They came out of the wings ready to play and have a good time there vibe was confident and cool, and the songs done perfectly. Great interaction with audience.
Did my final day @ the claymore with pistols the song is sounding fantastic, thanks to Tyler Johnson who has a strong commitment to getting it just right so that everyone is happy. Last week I had a chance to chat with David Vandas of Vandas Media about doing a video for Pistols At Dawn, so that should be coming down the pipeline soon.
Sometimes collaborator Stephen O'Shea who played bass on pistols at dawn, is gearing up for a cross country tour with his main band You Say Party! We say Die! in support of their new album XXXX, so if your looking for a show to take in, you won't be sorry their album is released on September 29, check it out.
need to do list: finalize work on the flood of 48, gigs, eat, sleep, repeat.

Had a great day with Tyler @ the Claymore, put the final touches on pistols at dawn/ Spent the day doing band stuff, putting the wheels in motion for future gigs, videos, and recordings. warning this old mare has some bite. Listening to the new Polvo record,"In Prism" loving it, they are of course one of my favorite bands from the early 90's, but this stuff is fresh. Off to see Band of Horses tomorrow night, looking forward to it. Ciao

I'm not the most Tech savy dude, so the picture is huge . We've been recording recently, working at the Claymore studios on the song," Pistols at Dawn" things are coming together very nicely. Tyler and Jake have been very gracious hosts, and the studio is a fantastic relaxed place to work. None of realized that there was something of that quality right here in Abbotsford. This is my first real post in blog life, and I'm feeling a little awkward. I hope this be will be interesting for anyone that stumbles across it.
